Virat Kohli Stood On Block To Match Height With Female Tennis Player, People Called Out For ‘Fragile Ego, Vanity’

Indian cricket team skipper Virat Kohli is one of the fittest sportspersons. He always tries to give his best in the game and that’s why people love him. Cheeku has time and again acknowledged the difficulties of being in the public eye, especially in a cricket-crazy country like India. The superstardom brings with it a fair amount of public scrutiny, which is more often than not, irrational and out of the blue.

Often Virat becomes subject to trolling due to little things that are made big by the people on social media. Recently, Virat became a victim of such irrational outrage online. The 29-year-old cricketer has been labeled a man with “fragile ego” and “vanity” after a photograph of him seemingly trying to look taller than Indian women’s singles tennis player Karman Kaur Thandi went viral on social media.

Recently, Kohli attended an event in Mumbai along with some of the finest athletes of the country. Virat endorses a famous watch brand Tissot and he was presenting a special edition to the athletes like Satnam Singh, Karman Kaur Thandi, Aadil Bedi and others who are reported a part of the Virat Kohli Foundation.

Now Virat doesn’t boast of a great height and while posing with Satnam Singh and Karman, he tried to match their height by stepping onto a higher platform on the stage. He did it in a fun way and the purpose was to give good shots to media.

However, the photograph gave rise to a discussion over feminism and male ego as hundreds of users commented on the post. The netizens didn’t love the act and trolled him badly on Twitter. Questions were asked of Kohli’s motive but quite a few batted for the cricket superstar, calling out the seemingly needless criticism that has come his way.
