  16. I would like to bring to your notice that the information on NRI voting registration and rights is wrong. According to the Representations of the people (Amendment) act 2010, NRIs are now eligible to vote. The only caveat is that they will have to be physically present to vote. Nevertheless they can vote and for NRIs to register they need to fill out the Form 6A. Information on Form 6A can be obtained from your states Chief Electorate Officer's website.

  19. In last state election (about 4-5 months back) i registered for the Voter ID card and i got the info in their website that the ID card is ready. Since i was out of town during the election i never went to collect it and neither did i vote. Now a few weeks back i went to the office to collect it when they said that no ID cards are with them. They say that it would be reissued again before the next general election in 2014. Is that true ? At that time what do i have to do ? Will I need to register my name in my constituency again ? And will they issue the same ID card back to me then ? I am clueless !!!

Can i use the link you mentioned above to re-register for it ? Will it create an issue ? Please let me know …
