Anushka Sharma’s upcoming film ‘Sui Dhaaga: Made in India’ trailer was released today. At the launch, the actress was asked to react to being trolled for getting photographed alongside her husband Virat Kohli and the team India at the Indian High Commission in London. Before Anushka could react, Varun Dhawan jokingly said that he plays a dog in the film and would bite anyone who asks controversial questions.
However, known to not mince words, Anushka didn’t shy away from responding. Anushka told that her accompanying Virat and the team to the gathering was well within boundaries of the BCCI directives:
“About this, whoever had to make a clarification have already done. This was trolling activity and I don’t react to trolls and give any attention to them. Whatever happened has happened within the guidelines and will always happen in the guidelines and I won’t say anything more on this.” She also made an appeal to not let the issue snowball into an unprecedented controversy: “Let’s not make a huge hue and cry of a topic with such little substance.”

Anushka’s photo with team India went viral after the Board of Control for Cricket in India tweeted it on Wednesday, with many questioning her presence in an official team photograph.
Earlier this year, Anushka was trolled for a viral video tweeted by Virat Kohli, in which she can be seen asking a fellow commuter to not litter on the streets. However, the actress was quickly defended by Virat in another social media post, which slammed the trolls saying: “Lot of people who don’t have the courage to do something like this find it funny. Everything for people nowadays is meme content. Shame.”
On the work front, Anushka Sharma is currently looking forward to the release of Sui Dhaaga, which is all set to hit screens on September 28. She is also acting opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Zero, which is slated to release on December 21, 2018.
