Indian cricket team did not have the greatest 5-match Test series against England as they couldn’t make it and lost the series 4-1. Having already won the series 3-1 after the fourth Test, England continued its dominance on the visiting team in the fifth and final Test match at the Oval.
However, team India put up a great show in the match. India needed 464 runs to win and KL Rahul and Rishab Pant played outstanding knocks with centuries and kept the hope until the end. Then comes English spinner Adil Rashid, who produced a fantastic delivery to dismiss Rahul when he is at 149. Rashid’s delivery was exceptional and it was the breakthrough they are searching for.
The Yorkshire spinner bowled Rahul with a delivery that spun 10 degrees, taking the wicket in the first ball of the 82nd over.

Making amends for a below-par show in the preceding Tests, Rahul (149 off 224 balls) and Pant (114 off 146 balls) scored centuries to give India hope before Adil Rashid (2/63 in 15 overs) dashed their hopes with a twin blow.
It is not the first time the spinner has outfoxed an opposition batsman, he left Virat Kohli dumbfounded in the ODI series when he bowled the India captain. The delivery to remove the India skipper evoked memories of Shane Warne’s Ball of the Century to Mike Gatting at Old Trafford in 1993.
